What is a Hunger Hero?

A Hunger Hero is someone just like you—committed to making a meaningful impact in our community by bringing people together for a cause that matters.  When you host or co-host an event, you are not only raising essential funds to support Daily Bread, but you are al​so spreading awareness and inspiring others.

Types of Gatherings:

  • ‘Give Back’ Dinner​—as casual or upscale as you would like!

  • Backyard BBQ

  • Block party

  • Musical event

  • Game night

  • Cocktail party

  • Themed party

Co-Host with Friends or Family:

Team up with loved ones or neighbors to host an event together—sharing the experience not only lightens the load, but also multiplies the impact and is a wonderful way to connect with others.

How can Daily Bread be a Helping Hand?

It is completely up to you how involved you would like us to be in the planning and execution of your event.  We will provide all marketing tools.

Collecting Donations:

  • Ticketed events:  Guests can make checks out to "Lynchburg Daily Bread" or pay online via PayPal (Link and QR code provided)

  • Casual gatherings:  Provide a tip jar to collect cash/checks and display our PayPal QR code for easy online payment
